By Chase Porter Mar 9, 2023 | 11:27 AM

Fans of Star Wars have a chance to hear the legendary arrangements of famous film composer John Williams at the Lied Center, performed by the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, at 7:30 p.m Saturday, March 11th.

“LSO Goes to Tatooine” is the latest pops concert being put on by the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra. It will feature, of course, the music of Star Wars but other notable films score pieces from John Williams’ career, such as the theme from Schindler’s List and Raiders of The Lost Ark.

Music Director for the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, Ed Polochick, told KLIN News he encourages those attending to come in costume:

“Everybody who wants to come…come dressed as your favorite character and just have a great time!”

Given the lengthy career of John Williams, attendees of all ages can hear something from the symphony they love.  “Its a great night out for the entire family.” said Polochick. He continued, “Our tickets are totally affordable…all the best seats in the house for either $15 or$35 all fees included.”

Tickets and information on the show can be found on the Lied Center’s website: www.liedcenter.org
