UPDATE: Passengers from diverted United Flight 1888 were accommodated at the Lincoln Airport Terminal Saturday afternoon while they await the arrival of another aircraft to continue their journey to Las Vegas.

An earlier scheduled arrival as reported on FlightAware indicated another Boeing 777 was being dispatched from Denver to pickup the passengers for the flight to Las Vegas.
As of mid-afternoon, that flight is showing a delay from the initial schedule and is now expected to arrive in Lincoln at 4:23pm CST.

United Airlines flight 1888 from Chicago O”Hare International to Las Vegas Harry Reid International diverted to the Lincoln airport Saturday morning following an engine malfunction west of Lincoln.
According to the flight tracking website FlightAware, Flight 1888, a Boeing 777 landed in Lincoln at 11:40 am and arrived at the gate as 12:01 pm.
Lincoln airport director of communication Rachel Barth told KLIN News about 325 passengers were aboard the plane and all deplaned safely and were awaiting further information in the airport terminal. No injuries were reported.
Barth said it was her understanding that United Airlines was working to secure another aircraft for passengers to continue their journey. No other information was available shortly after 1 pm CST.

The FlightAware site is also showing a Boeing 777 flight from Denver to Lincoln scheduled to arrive at 3:38 pm CST which may be an aircraft dispatched to get passengers on to Las Vegas. That information is displayed here
