The international drum lesson company, Drumeo gives out annual drumming awards and this years awards included legends like Phil Collins, Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay Weinberg of Slipknot, and Eloy Casagrande from Sepultura. I think you already know none of those were my favorite of the awards though. Shane Hawkins, son of Taylor Hawkins the late drummer of my beloved Foo Fighters, was nominated for Performance of the Year for both of his performances at the Tribute shows to his dad. And. He. Won.
