The Foo Fighters posted a statement for New Year’s that they will be continuing on as a band without Taylor Hawkins.

I didn’t miss in there, Dave’s reference to the band starting as his way to heal when Nirvana ended. It is also another beautiful tribute to Taylor from Dave and from the guys in the Foo Fighters.
I am excited to see that the band will continue. Stewart Copeland, from The Police, called Taylor the “ultimate fanboy.” He just happened to become friends with his heroes. As a huge music and band fan, I do think Taylor would have wanted the Foos to continue, so I’m excited that they will. Plus, I think they’ll do a lot to continue honor Taylor along the way.
