I’ve said a gazillion times that baseball is my favorite sport. Not only from watching my niece and nephews play, but also watching pro baseball and all of the cool things that happen on and off the field.
Stephen Vogt played for my Atlanta Braves when they won the World Series last year and he retired as an Oakland A when their season ended on Wednesday.
Now, the coolest part of his day could been receiving the 2022 Dave Stewart Community Award, but I doubt it. It could have been hitting a home run in his last at bat, but I bet that wasn’t it. Although, that’s pretty damn cool. Nope. Maybe even his kids throwing out the first pitch is pretty close.
