A tight second set looked like No. 4 Nebraska (5-0) might drop a set at Rutgers (1-6) Friday afternoon, but the Huskers stormed back and to take the set as part of a 25-18, 21, 19 sweep.
Lexi Sun led Nebraska with 17 kills on a .484 hitting percentage. Lauren Stivrins added 11 kills on a .556 hitting percentage.
Nicklin Hames had her third straight double-double with 37 assists and 10 digs.
NU hit .320 in the match and held Rutgers to .189.
The two teams play again Saturday afternoon.
