Every year, those who buy real Christmas trees have to figure out how to dispose of it. Usually, there is a day where the garbage men pick it up or you can find a drop off location.
In theory, you COULD chop it up and burn it in your fireplace. Smart move? I don’t know. I never use my fireplace.
What you don’t do, is what this dumbass did, which was put the WHOLE tree in the fireplace.
For some reason, this guy, in McKinney TX, thought it would be a good idea to put the tree whole from bottom first.
The problem with this concept:
- you would have to continually push the tree into the fire, which could take a while
- It could get messy with all of the tree dropping of sap, limbs, etc.
- you can’t control the fire
#3 is where this all went wrong, as the tree was burning, flames made their way up the tree where the top of the tree, which was laying on the floor, caught fire.
The home owner had to call the fire department. who were quick to put the fire out.
Obviously, this guy never saw Christmas Vacation
