Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is $810 million dollars. There hasn’t been a winner since this drawing started on April 19th. The cash option for this drawing is $470.1 million.
This is the third largest jackpot in the game’s history. The largest jackpot was in October of 2018 when one ticket sold in South Carolina for $1.537 billion.
Nebraska Lottery’s Neil Watson tells KLIN News, “We always want our players to have fun. It is an exciting time with the jackpot so high but it only takes one ticket to win. Make sure you are playing responsibly. Remember your odds remain the same regardless of how many tickets you buy so keep that in mind when you are playing.”
Odds of hitting the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.
Even if you don’t win the jackpot, there are still prizes to be won. Watson says, “On the last drawing on the 22nd, (July), we had just over 12,000 Mega Millions winners. The point to remember is to keep your tickets and check them. You could win some of those lower tier prizes.”
One of those lesser winning tickets was sold at a gas station in Papillion.
The mission of the Nebraska Lottery is to generate proceeds for good causes while providing quality entertainment options to Nebraskans. Over $880 million has been raised for the Nebraska Lottery’s beneficiary funds since the Lottery began in 1993. All 93 counties in Nebraska have benefited from projects funded with these Nebraska Lottery proceeds.
