When you come up with a business name, you really try to have a name that expresses who you are, what you do…and you want to be unique. At the same time, you want to make it simple, like this business, Welsh Italian Pizza.
While that sounds unique food with unique name and easy to remember, when you make a website, sometimes, those things don’t always work the way you want when it comes to URL’s. All too often you find that someone else has the name you want. In this case, Welsh Italian Pizza found that theirs was wide open as:
Now look at that closer. Yes it does say Welsh Italian Pizza, but it it also looks like Wel Shit Alian Pizza.
The great part, the company doesn’t care. They realized what their URL said after social media blew up with laughter. While their use different colors and caps in their URL (www.WelshItalianPizza.co.uk) for their advertising…except for the tent they use for outdoor events. That has it all in lower case letters, making it look like the one with the word shit…and yes, they do it on purpose.
You gotta love a business who has a sense of humor. After all, if you can laugh at yourself, no one will ever hurt your feelings. Not to mention with all of the free attention, they are laughing all the way to the bank.
