Do Women’s Feet Smell Worse Than Men’s? Proctor & Gamble Said So

If you weren’t aware, in the USA we have laws that prevent companies from making unsubstantiated claims. One happening right now is the Federal Trade Commission is going after Turbo Tax for their “Free Free Free” claim…because it isn’t free.

However, in China, it is a different story.

Proctor & Gamble has made the claim that women’s feet smell 5 times as bad as men’s in an ad that said, “Women’s feet smell five times worse than men’s. If you don’t believe it, smell it,”. They even went so far as to say women’s hair is dirtier, their underwear is more disgusting and that women are just less clean.

One of their claims that because women are less likely to wear socks, their shoes are like a “sauna”. The problem is, they have no research to make that claim, so they remove the ad.

While Proctor & Gamble didn’t have their own research to make the claim that women’s feet smell worse, there was a study done in 2019 that found that women’s feet do have a tendency to reek more than men. The problem was the sample of people was so small and really wasn’t very scientific, The National Library of Medicine tossed the survey out.

Oh and by the way, Proctor & Gamble had no idea that the study even existed.

So why did Proctor & Gamble finally have a moment of regret? Because WeChat blew up with all kinds of accusations of sexism and lying.

But don’t think that Proctor & Gamble is the only one bagging on women, a South Korean milk company used women’s images as cows in an ad.

In case you were curious, the actual study about how smelly women’s feet are, there were a total of 31 people. In the end, it showed that 17 of the people were women and their feel smell worse than the 14 men.

In the end, all of our feet stink. Some of us, to use a quote from George Carlin, could “knock a buzzard off a shit wagon”.
