2026-27 Nebraska men’s hoops schedule announced

The Nebraska men’s basketball team announced its 2026-27 schedule Wednesday after the best season in school history and a run to the Sweet 16 last year.

The Cornhuskers open their season officially Monday, Nov. 2 at home against Le Moyne, before heading to Uncasville, Conn., to face Providence on Nov. 7. After a home game Nov. 11 against Lindenwood, Nebraska will face Boise State in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Nov. 15, before returning home to take on South Dakota on Nov. 18. The Huskers will head to Chicago to face Butler on Nov. 22, then return home to face Southern Nov. 25.

Big Ten play opens against Ohio State in Lincoln on Dec. 2, before Nebraska heads up I-80 to face Creighton on Dec. 5. The Huskers will then head east to face Penn State on Dec. 8, before taking on Missouri Dec. 12 in Kansas City. After non-conference home games against Mount St. Mary’s (Dec. 17), FDU (Dec. 20) and New Haven (Dec. 30), Nebraska dives back into Big Ten play by taking on Michigan State on Jan. 2 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. That’s followed by a matchup with defending national champion Michigan at PBA on Jan. 5, before the Huskers travel to the Northwest to face Oregon Jan. 10 and Washington Jan. 13. Nebraska returns home for a matchup with Iowa on Jan. 16, before traveling to Illinois three days later. After hosting UCLA on Jan. 22, the Huskers head to Purdue on Jan. 26, followed by a trip to Iowa four days later. Nebraska opens February by hosting Indiana on Feb. 6, then going to Maryland on Feb. 9. Penn State comes to Lincoln on Feb. 12, then Rutgers visits on Feb. 16. Nebraska travels to Michigan State Feb. 20, before hosting USC Feb. 23. The Huskers close the regular season by heading to Northwestern Feb. 27, then to Wisconsin March 3, before taking on Minnesota at home on March 7.
