Nebraska quarterback Anthony Colandrea was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after dicing Bowling Green’s defense Saturday, completing 20-of-24 passes for 222 yards and four touchdowns while also running for one.
Colandrea has been strong in his first two games as the Cornhuskers’ starting quarterback, throwing for 497 yards and seven touchdowns with just one interception while completing 38-of-56 attempts. He’s also rushed for 56 yards on 14 attempts and a touchdown in his first two games. He’s the first Nebraska player to be named conference offensive player of the week since Emmett Johnson last November after the UCLA game.
