Nebraska Athletics is adjusting its beverage policy for Saturday’s football home opener against Ohio because of expected high temperatures.
Fans will be allowed to bring one sealed bottle of water into Memorial Stadium for the game. Nebraska Athletics said the exception is being made in anticipation of the heat.
Fans are normally allowed to bring empty personal water bottles into Memorial Stadium and refill them at water fountains inside. That policy will remain in place Saturday.
Nebraska Athletics is encouraging fans to have a plan to stay hydrated before and during the game. Medical staff will be stationed inside Memorial Stadium, and anyone who becomes overwhelmed by the heat is encouraged to contact the nearest stadium official or event staff member for assistance.
The Huskers host Ohio on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
