Parents heading to Nebraska home football games can give their kids their own game-day experience through Game Day Play Dates at the Lincoln Children’s Museum. The program is available during most Husker home games and is designed for children ages five through 12.

Museum officials say kids can take part in football-themed games and crafts, run plays among the museum exhibits and enjoy a mid-game snack. Families can also add a meal from Kazoo’s U-STOP Café for $6.50, or bring a sack meal from home if the play date overlaps lunch or dinner.

Check-in is 90 minutes before kickoff, and children must be picked up within 60 minutes after the official end of the game. Upcoming Game Day Play Dates are scheduled for Nebraska home games against Ohio on September 5th, Bowling Green on September 12th, North Dakota on September 19th, Maryland on October 3rd, Indiana on October 10th and Ohio State on November 21st.

The cost is $43.20 per child for museum members and $48 for non-members. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Parents planning to attend multiple games can also take advantage of a season-pass offer.

Children attending are encouraged to wear their favorite game-day gear.
