Lincoln Police have arrested a 38-year-old man after an alleged knife-point confrontation inside a Lincoln motel room. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas tells KLIN News Andrew Studnicka is facing charges of first-degree false imprisonment and terroristic threats.
Thomas says Studnicka followed a woman from McDonalds to the Travelodge near 52nd and Cornhusker on August 1 where he confronted the woman. Thomas says Studnicka believed he had been sold salt instead of methamphetamine by a friend of the woman.
Police says Studnicka threatened the woman with a knife inside one of the motel rooms while demanding his money back. Thomas says the woman was not physically injured during the incident. Studnicka was arrested and lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on the felony charges and is being held on $500,000 bond.
