The Nebraska football team added running back Tikey Hayes to its 2026 roster. Last year as a true freshman for Penn State, Hayes rushed for 18 yards on three attempts, all against Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl. After the season, Hayes entered the portal and was set to play for Iowa Western this season, before diverting to the Cornhuskers.
Hayes rushed for 7,000 yards and nearly 100 touchdowns for Aliquippa High School near Pittsburgh. He looks to be a factor in the race to replace the departed Emmett Johnson as Nebraska’s starting running back.
