Nebraska football’s recent run of success on the recruiting trail continued Wednesday, as Class of 2027 defensive lineman Nehemiah Ombati committed to play for the Cornhuskers, selecting NU over Missouri. Ombati is a four-star prospect from Waconia Shakopee High School in Minnesota, a school in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Ombati is ranked as a top-five recruit from the state of Minnesota and plays with two other Division I recruits on defense. He’s part of a recent run of three defensive line commitments in a week, joining Errol Demontagnac and Ma’atoe Moe. Notably, Moe flipped his commitment from Minnesota to the Huskers.
