A 3-year-old child is in serious condition after a near drowning Friday night. LPD officers and LFGR crews were sent to the Lionsgate apartments at 51st and Vine around 8:30 p.m. for a medical emergency.
When rescue personnel arrived, they began rendered aid to the child, who would eventually be transported to a local area hospital before being moved to Omaha Children’s hospital in serious condition.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and the Lincoln Police Department requests anyone with information, including video or audio recordings, to contact the non-emergency number at 402- 441-6000 or CrimeStoppers at 402 475-3600 if they wish to remain anonymous.
