A fundraiser supporting local cancer patients and children in need returns to Lincoln Friday evening. The fifth annual Classic Cars and Cornhole for Cancer event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at the April Sampson Cancer Center.
The public event is sponsored by Cancer Partners of Nebraska, Bryan Health and the Lincoln Firefighters Association. Activities include a classic car show, a cornhole tournament and food and beverages. The car show begins at 5:00 p.m., with the cornhole competition getting underway at 6:00.
Organizers say all proceeds from the event will stay in the community, helping local cancer patients and children facing financial hardships. The annual fundraiser has become a popular community event, bringing together car enthusiasts, competitors and supporters for an evening focused on helping families affected by cancer.
