The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has promoted Deputy Investigator Joanna Dimas to the rank of Sergeant. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says Sergeant Dimas will now serve in the Patrol Division, which provides around-the-clock law enforcement services across Lancaster County.
Sergeant Dimas began her career with the Sheriff’s Office in August of 2021 after previously serving five years as a public safety dispatcher at the Lincoln-Lancaster County 911 Center. During her time as a deputy, she worked in patrol, became a defensive tactics instructor and field training officer, and helped mentor new deputies.
She later served as the Violence Against Women Act investigator, handling cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, and family crimes. Wagner says Sergeant Dimas was nominated this year for Exceptional Duty and Deputy Sheriff of the Year, citing her professionalism, leadership, and commitment to public service.
