The Nebraska volleyball team announced its 2026 schedule on Thursday, after the Big Ten released the conference’s volleyball slate.
The Cornhuskers begin the season at the Spikes Under the Lights exhibition event in Arlington, Texas Aug. 27, where Nebraska will face two teams out of Florida, Penn State and SMU. The season officially gets underway Aug. 30 against Texas in Las Vegas. The Huskers head to Chicago the following week for a match Sept. 4 against DePaul and Sept. 6 at Wrigley Field against Mizzou. The home opener will be Sept. 10 against New Mexico. Nebraska will also face Baylor and Georgia Tech that weekend.
After facing Creighton at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sept. 16, the Huskers will wrap non-conference play in the Husker Invitational against North Carolina (Sept. 18) and Florida Gulf Coast (Sept. 20). After back-to-back home Big Ten matches against Rutgers (Sept. 25) and Ohio State (Sept. 26), Nebraska will play three straight on the road at Penn State, Maryland and Indiana. The later October schedule includes critical home matches Oct. 10 against Wisconsin and Oct. 17 versus Purdue. NU will close the regular season with three straight home matches, against Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. Start times and TV information will be published when it becomes available, but all matches will be broadcast on B-107.3.
