Neighborhood pools and aquatic centers will open on Monday, Memorial Day. Lincoln Parks and Recreation released details about the summer season schedule on Wednesday, noting daily hours are 1 pm to 6 pm, with family swim nights rotating at neighborhood pools throughout the week from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Melissa Lindemann, recreation coordinator at Lincoln Parks and Recreation told KLIN News, “And then in the morning we have Swim and Dive League practice and we have lots of swim lessons happening.”
The free Trago Spray Ground in Trago Park, 22nd and “U” streets, will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, May 29 through Labor Day, September 7.
Applications for seasonal employment, including pool staff, are available at jobs.lincoln.ne.gov. Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old and certified.
