Polling Places Change for Roughly 9,000 Lancaster County Voters

A series of polling place changes will impact about 9,000 voters, according to the Lancaster County Election Office.

Commissioner Todd Wiltgen announced the changes Monday, a little more then two-weeks away from the May 12th statewide primary election. Voters eight precincts will be notified of their new polling place via mail within the next few days. The change effects roughly 4% of the 207,000 eligible voters in Lancaster County.

Commissioner Wiltgen indicated that over 35,000 voters have requested early vote ballots as of the close business on Friday, April 24th. Early voters in the impacted precincts will receive the notice for informational purposes only.

These polling place notices are not an acceptable form of identification for Nebraska’s voter ID requirement that was implemented in 2024. For more information about Nebraska Voter ID requirements, visit sos.nebraska.gov/voter-id.
