Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate hit-and-run cases.

The first case occurred on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the area of 70th and “A” Street.

LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said a resident in the area woke up and noticed her mailbox was hit overnight. The victim observed tire marks leading up to the damaged mailbox, and the mailbox knocked over.

Investigators reviewed home security video from a nearby neighbor, depicting a sedan spinning into the driveway after sliding on the ice, backing out over the mailbox, and fleeing the scene.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.

The second case occurred on Thursday, December 4, 2025, on N. 33rd Street just east of North Star High School.

Keller said an employee with LES called to report one of their light poles had been struck by a vehicle in the prior week. A nearby business was able to provide some video which showed a newer blue or gray colored Chevy/GMC pickup swerving in and out of traffic during the bad weather conditions, and drove into the LES pole on Monday, Dec. 1, around 7:50 a.m.

The driver of the truck appeared to be a male and the only occupant of the vehicle. Eventually another unknown vehicle arrived and pulled the truck off the side of the road and out of camera view. The truck that hit the pole has some very significant front end driver side damage, as seen by an image captured by someone nearby.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.
