Get ready for a community favorite Halloween-themed event this Friday, courtesy of the Lincoln Airport.
As dusk falls, the 1993 Disney classic “Hocus Pocus” will be broadcast on the side of the cold war hanger for the October edition of the LNK Outdoor Movie Series.
Communications Director for the Lincoln Airport Rachel Barth said the night will be a treat (and emphasized: no tricks).
“This will be our third year of doing hocus pocus. The first year was during the pandemic, and it was our first really public movie, and people went crazy for it,” said Barth, “We thought, ‘This is so fun. Let’s continue it.’ So we’ve kind of evolved each year.”
This year the night will feature a Costume Contest for kids, a Trunk or Treat event in combination with local luxury/classic car group “Sunday Funday Cruises,” and of course concessions from food trucks.
Barth is alerting attendees that Friday could be chilly, so coats/jackets/blankets are encouraged.
Aside from being cold, inclement weather is also possible this weekend. The Airport will issue an update if there is a need to postpone or cancel.
