A downtown Lincoln street closure for Christmas light installation has been rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 9, after rain canceled the original work date. P Street between 12th and 13th streets will close from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., according to Lincoln Transportation and Utilities.
The work was originally scheduled for Nov. 2. The recommended detour is 11th Street to M Street to 17th Street, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution near the closure.
Four StarTran routes will be detoured during the work:
- Route 24 — Holdrege
- Route 27 — North 27th
- Route 42 — Bethany
- Route 49 — University Place

The city says project dates may change because of weather or unforeseen circumstances.
