Lincoln Airport is inviting the community to celebrate Halloween with a free outdoor showing of the Disney classic Hocus Pocus Friday night. The annual event will feature a Trunk-or-Treat, local food trucks, face painting and a costume contest.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m., giving families a chance to collect candy and meet community partners before the movie starts around 7:30. Lincoln Airport Marketing Director Rachel Barth says the Halloween-themed movie has become an annual tradition.

“Honestly, it was one of our first ones we ever did, kind of post-COVID. It’s definitely kind of our October Halloween-themed movie.” Barth says organizers are expecting a large turnout, with about 800 people already registered as of Thursday morning. The event is free and open to everyone.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy the movie outdoors. Barth says the movie will be shown on the side of an old airport hangar, with space for families to spread out on the grass.

The event is held on the west side of the airport in the industrial park, not at the passenger terminal.
