One week after Nebraska volleyball grabbed at least a share of three of the four weekly awards given by the Big Ten Conference, Cornhuskers grabbed two of the four awards this week. Teraya Sigler was named Big Ten Player of the Week while Olivia Mauch was honored as Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
Sigler tallied 23 kills in the two matches last week against Northwestern and Purdue. She averaged 3.29 kills per set on .391 hitting. Meanwhile, Mauch helped Nebraska hold the Wildcats and Boilermakers to a combined .091 hitting. The Huskers held their opponents below 20 points in six of seven sets. She had a career high 21 digs with eight set assists and an ace against Purdue.
Nebraska has won nine of 33 weekly awards given out by the Big Ten this season.
