A Lincoln man cut his fingers while trying to push away a knife during a robbery early Saturday near 56th and Holdrege streets. Police say the 41-year-old had gone to a gas station to meet one of the suspects when two men got into his SUV and one held a knife to his neck.
The man got out, and the two men drove away in his SUV. Officers later found it near South 18th and Washington streets, and the man reported $500 missing from the center console.
Lincoln Police Department spokesperson Erika Thomas said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call police at 402-441-6000 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
