A Lincoln man was sentenced Thursday to 11 years and three months in federal prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. David Samuel Leibbrandt, 44, will also serve five years of supervised release after prison, according to the U.S. attorney’s office. There is no parole in the federal system.
The case grew out of surveillance at Leibbrandt’s Lincoln home on Oct. 10, 2025. Investigators saw a postal package delivered to the house and later followed co-defendant Jessie Feaster Jr. after he left. Feaster agreed to a search of his vehicle, where investigators found about a pound of methamphetamine, prosecutors said.
Investigators then searched Leibbrandt’s home and found more than 2.7 kilograms of methamphetamine, roughly six pounds. Prosecutors said Leibbrandt told investigators he had received 10 pounds earlier that day and had already sold more than three pounds, including the amount sold to Feaster.
Feaster has pleaded guilty to the methamphetamine conspiracy. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 15 in Lincoln.
