Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced Friday that portions of three Lincoln streets will close beginning Saturday and Monday. LTU says Havelock Avenue between 84th and 98th streets will close from 9 a.m. Saturday through 5 p.m. Sunday for Gravel Worlds.
Beginning Monday, 14th Street between “P” and “Q” streets will close through Thursday, August 27, for Project “O” Street improvements. Drivers are encouraged to use 13th or 17th streets as a detour. Also beginning Monday, westbound “O” Street between 11th and 12th streets will close for the same project.
That closure is expected to remain in place through mid-October. The recommended detour is 12th Street to “N” Street. Travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution near the closures.
