Closures Planned on 27th and Superior Streets

Portions of two Lincoln streets will close during the week of July 27 for paving and pavement repairs.

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities says northbound 27th Street between Nebraska Parkway and Woods Boulevard will close Monday, July 27, for a paving project.

The closure is expected to remain in place through mid-August. Local access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

A second closure begins Wednesday, July 29, when the eastbound left-turn lane from Superior Street onto Cornhusker Highway closes for pavement repairs.

That work is expected to be completed by August 7. LTU recommends that drivers use Superior Street, Havelock Avenue and 70th Street to reach Cornhusker Highway.

Travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution around the construction zones. LTU says project schedules may change because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Current street-closure information is available through the City of Lincoln closures webpage and the Waze mobile app.
