Lincoln Police are sharing results of an impaired driving enforcement campaign that was conducted April 17-20. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says during the project, additional officers were sent throughout the city to proactively address impaired driving and help keep roadways safe.
She says on-and off-duty officers arrested 21 impaired drivers. Overall, there were 62 traffic stops and issued 80 citations, including 24 for speeding.
The additional enforcement campaign was made possible by a grant from our safety partners at the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
