Ther family of Tyler Goodrich confirmed tonight on Facebook that his body was the one found Saturday morning near Hwy 77 and W. Pioneers. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says around 9:45 a.m. someone walking their dog discovered the body in a wooded area at the northwest corner of the intersection.
The location is less than a thousand yards from Goodrich’s home. He was last seen on November 3, 2023 after leaving his home following a family argument. Houchin says LSO crime scene technicians have found that the body has been at that location for over a year. “We can confirm Tyler’s remains have been found today,” according to a message on the Let’s Find Tyler Goodrich Facebook page.
“Thank you for giving our family a moment to catch our breath as we process this information and to allow law enforcement to complete their investigation. We appreciate your love and support.” Houchin says the investigation is being treated as a suspicious death, but not a homicide.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
