The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death near Hwy 77 and W. Pioneers. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says around 9:45 Saturday morning someone walking their dog discovered the body in a wooded area at the northwest corner of the intersection.
Houchin says LSO crime scene technicians have found that the body has been at that location for over a year. “Based off of details at the scene, including the location and proximity to Tyler Goodrich’s last known location, investigators have been in contact with Mr. Goodrich’s family,” Houchin says.
The body was found less than one thousand yards from Goodrich’s home. “We are not identifying 100 percent who the individual is. We still have investigating and the autopsy to go.” Houchin says. The investigation is being treated as a suspicious death, but not a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, March 10th.
