Building construction and a special event will be closing down portions of several Lincoln streets over the Halloween weekend.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities says the closures are as follows:
- Southbound North 12th Street from “P” to “Q” streets will close from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, October 31, for building construction. The recommended detour is “P” Street to North 13th Street to “O” Street.
- Streets surrounding the Nebraska State Capitol will temporarily close from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, November 3, for an event. They include South 14th Street between “H” and “K” streets, Goodhue Boulevard between “G” and “H” streets, “H” Street between South 14th and South 16th streets, and Lincoln Mall between South 13th and South 14th streets.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure. For more information on street closures, visit lincoln.ne.gov/closures.
