Lincoln’s largest trick or treat event returns Saturday as “Boo at the Zoo” kicks off.   “It’s a real fun family event where you can stop at more than 30 booths to get candy and coupons and all sorts of fun materials from local businesses,” says Marketing Director Erin Lenz.

She tells KLIN News 25,000 people attended last year. It runs October 26-30 and tickets for Saturday and other time slots have already sold out. Click here to reserve tickets.

Kids are encouraged to dress in their costume.  All of the money raised directly supports the zoo and it’s animals.

StarTran will provide free shuttle bus service to the event.  Shuttles will run about every 20 minutes.  The parking areas and shuttle stops are:

  • Parking at Lincoln High School includes lots south and east of the school. Shuttle stops are south of the ballfield on the Randolph Bypass, between 22nd and 23rd streets, and northeast of the school on Capitol Parkway.
  • Parking is available in Antelope Park near the playground on Veterans Memorial Drive and on the south side of Auld Pavilion, 1650 Memorial Drive. Shuttle pickup will be on the north side of Auld Pavilion near the playground
