Nebraska senior punter Brian Buschini was selected by the Big Ten office as conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his work against Rutgers.
Buschini averaged 50.2 yards per punt on five punts. Two punts buried the Scarlet Knights inside their 20-yard line. His 69-yard punt with 2:17 remaining stuck Rutgers at its 11-yard line with Nebraska holding a 14-7 lead.
The honor was Buschini’s first as a Husker, and the second earned by Nebraska player from the Big Ten office. Dylan Raiola was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week after the season opener.
