‘Moulin Rouge!’ Coming to Lied Center for 16 Shows in February

By Chase Porter Jun 10, 2024 | 2:12 PM

Earlier this year, The Lied Center for Performing Arts unveiled their 2024-25 Broadway Season line up, with six fan-favorite performances — and one unannounced mystery show — comprising the Lied’s largest Broadway series in the theatre’s history.

Revealing the “mystery show” today, the first North American tour of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” will play in Lincoln at the Lied Center for a 16 show run staring February 4 through February 16, 2025.

This will be the third Broadway show in Lied Center history to stay in Lincoln for 2-full-weeks of performances, joining the ranks of “The Phantom of the Opera” in 2018 and “Hamilton” in 2023.

“We could not be more excited to bring the spectacular, spectacular Moulin Rouge to Lincoln,” said Lied Center Executive Director Bill Stephan. “This show that continues to be a smash hit on Broadway, and we have no doubt that it will thrill more Nebraska audiences than ever before! Whether you loved the movie, you love the music, or you love extravagant, opulent, high-energy, over-the-top shows, you must see Moulin Rouge!”

There are three ways to get tickets to Moulin Rouge:

  • Tickets are available immediately as part of Create Your Own Season packages. To subscribe, patrons are invited to choose any 5+ events from the season and save 20% off the full order.
  • Starting Tuesday, June 11 at 11am, Moulin Rouge tickets are available as part of new 4-show Broadway packages that also include Back to the Future the Musical, Beetlejuice, and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This new option allows patrons to lock in the same seats to all four shows on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Sunday evenings.
  • Single show ticket information will be available later this summer.
