NU (16-5) handled New Mexico State (10-12) 14-2 Friday afternoon at Haymarket Park. The Huskers have now won six straight games and 13 of the last 15.
Brett Sears dealt a gem from the hill, tossing 8.0 scoreless innings. Sears allowed just two hits and notched a career-high nine strikeouts.
The Huskers had 15 hits on the day, including three from each of Garrett Anglim and Dylan Carey.
