In the next few weeks, you might find yourself returning home from errands with an extra box of cookies.
The 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Season is here. Troops will be transforming into mini-entrepreneurs, marketing their iconic treats all across the Nebraska. The cookie sale schedule begins:
- February 9: Girl Scouts selling cookies to family and friends
- February 16: Cookie Booth Sales begin!
- March 17: Last day of cookie sales
Girl Scouts-Nebraska Communications Coordinator Demi Kulper told KLIN News the Cookie Program teaches girls about financial literacy, planning, budgeting, innovative thinking, and decision making. “It’s so much more than the cookies. As much as we love them. It’s the largest girl led entrepreneurial program. All of our proceeds always stay right here in Nebraska and goes right back to the girls so that they’re able to have the best Girl Scout experience,” she said.
This year’s cookie lineup includes:
- Adventurefuls
- Lemonades
- Peanut Butter Sandwiches
- Caramel deLites
- Thin Mints
- Trefoils
- Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip
- Peanut Butter Patties
- Toast-Yays!
