As rent prices soar across the country, the city of Lincoln may be a safe haven for renters.
A recently published study from Forbes Advisor compared data for the 96 most populated U.S. cities across 23 metrics to learn what cities in America are best suited for renters. Lincoln ranked as the 7th best city for renters in the country.
Here’s the top 10:
- Chandler, Arizona
- Gilbert, Arizona
- Henderson, Nevada
- Plano, Texas
- Austin, Texas
- Minneapolis, Minnesota
- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Washington, D.C.
- Denver, Colorado
- Las Vegas, Nevada
Data points analyzed include rental prices, unit size, affordability, included amenities, and neighborhood features.
The Forbes report determined, one-bedroom apartments average $1,301 and 688 square feet, while two-bedrooms average $1,590 and 979 square feet. Nebraska’s capital city has the lowest rental prices among the top 10 cities, coming in at eighth most affordable overall, in terms of one-and two-bedroom apartments.
Lincoln was also analyzed to have great options for apartments with amenities, ranking as the third-best city in terms of rentals with parking options as the best city in terms of units with dishwashers.
