Three More Huskers Earn Coveted Single-Digit Jerseys

More Nebraska football players have taken their place within the new tradition.

Under head coach Matt Rhule, players must earn the single-digit jerseys. Rhule said earlier this year that those jerseys go to the “toughest guys on the team”.

The new additions are defensive lineman Nash Hutmacher with No. 0, linebacker Nick Henrich with No. 3, and linebacker John Bullock with No. 5.

Not immediately known with the unveiling of the first earners of the single-digit jerseys, Ethan Piper is an honorary single-digit jersey guy. As an offensive lineman, Piper is unable to wear a single-digit jersey in a game.

Including the previous four that had been announced, the only remaining numbers are 6, 8, and 9.
