The Cornhusker State Games are right around the corner. The Statewide amateur sports festival will run from July 6 – July 30. The Games will kickoff with a torch lighting ceremony at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Kickoff event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include a Husker Athlete autograph session, with the lighting of the torch at 8 p.m.
Luke Mieska, Nebraska Sports Council Director of events, was on LNK Today Wednesday and said that registration is still open for all events. “Every single sport as of right now is still open for registration,” Mieska said “The overall final deadline is July, 11.”
Mieska mentioned that you may be able to register after July, 11.
“A lot of the sports are going to registrations up to that actual event date.” Sports that you can compete in the Cornhusker Games include skydiving, pickleball, sailing, and hockey.
