Father’s Day Idea: Lincoln Arts Festival

By Tom Stanton Jun 14, 2023 | 1:50 PM

If you’re looking for something to do over Father’s Day weekend the Lincoln Arts Festival will have something for the entire family. Troy Ganger is Executive Director of Lincoln Arts Council and told LNK Today this will be their third year on Canopy Street in the Railyard.

“It’s allowed us to add more art activities for the family, it’s allowed us to add more live music and other interactive art experiences along with our selling artists along the streets,” Gagner says.

There will be a Lincoln Calling Showcase featuring live local music Friday and Saturday nights.  The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and will feature 90 artists selling their work.  “We’ve got art at price points from $10-$15 all the way up to several thousands of dollars.”

Gagner says the best part is there is no admission.  “Anybody can come down and meet the artists, purchase art or take part in the interactive art activities or get something to eat or listen to some music.”
