The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy have issued and Air Quality Alert for Eastern Nebraska through Wednesday afternoon.
Prescribed burning is being conducted in the region for the management of prairie and rangelands, and smoke may affect the air quality in Nebraska. This put the Air Quality Index in the Moderate to Unhealthy level for Sensitive Groups.
Those who are unusually sensitive to particle pollution should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion. Additional Information is available here
