Two men have been arrested for the theft of walk-in cooler panels from a north Lincoln sports bar. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says the panels were taken on three different occasions from Lil Risky’s near 46th and Superior while it was under construction.
On December 27 at 8:35 a.m. police say a red pickup with a flatbed trailer arrived and suspects stole nine 8-by-10 foot walk-in cooler panels that were on a pallet. The owner said it was a $15,000 loss.
On January 18 at 8:19 a.m. officers were called back to the same bar after two people in a work truck showed up. LPD says the cooler had been assembled on the outside of the building, but the two people disassembled it and stole the replacement panels. That loss was estimated at $30,000.
The final incident happened on Feb. 15 around 2:30 p.m. Police say there was an additional theft of panels and the loss was estimated at $14,000. Vollmer says further follow-up identified suspects outside of Lancaster County. On Sunday investigators received assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol with a search warrant in Ceresco.
That led to the arrest of 35 year old William Rader and 28 year old Dillon Salvo. Both were booked into the Lancaster County Jail for theft by receiving.
