Parents Of Missing Lincoln Woman Plead For Public’s Help

By Tom Stanton Jun 3, 2021 | 11:17 AM

Shari and David Schaaf says they can’t believe they are faced with the reality that their daughter has been missing for more than two weeks.  “How is it possible we have not heard from her for so long? Where is she? It’s not like Carly to leave and not get in touch with us,” Shari Schaaf said during a news conference with Lincoln Police.  On Thursday Shari Schaaf made an emotional plea for the public’s help in finding 23-year-old Carly Schaaf.

“Carly has her two dogs, Zeus and Callie, who are like her children, and she would not have left without them. She’s also left with no belongings. None if this is like Carly.”  Carly Schaaf was last seen at her home near 25th and Worthington around 9:30 a.m. May 17.

She was reported missing by her mother two days later after not hearing from her.  Investigators say they have received very few leads.  They say Carly went missing under suspicious circumstances but have not provided details.

She also recently missed court and has not communicated with family, which is uncharacteristic for her.  She is 5’2” tall, 130 pounds, hazel eyes, has brown hair that was last dyed black.  She also has a nose ring, gauges in her ears, and has tattoos on her wrist, ankle, stomach and forearm

“If Carly is out there listening to this, I just want her to know how much her family loves her and we just want her to come home no matter what,” a tearful Shari Schaaf says.  A phone number has been designated to receive information regarding this case.  If you have information, please call 402-441-9903.
