Michael Orchard could have been the hero of the day, but that would have been the case had the emergency really existed.
Michael was driving through a neighborhood in New York and he saw a dog that was in a house that was on fire. When he went looking for help, he couldn’t find a single person to call upon, she he did what anyone in their right mind would do, drive his BMW through the fence of the home, crashed through the backdoor and rescued the dog from the inferno.
Except Michael wasn’t in his right mind.
When he appeared from the flames and ash with a white dog in his arms, he was relived to find that the police were waiting for him. Except they weren’t there to help with the fire…they were there to arrest him for burglary and criminal mischief because the house wasn’t on fire…and he was high on LSD and cough medicine.
Michael is now in jail and probably waiting for the tracers to end.
